Arsenal defender William Saliba has provided a positive update to his future at Emirates Stadium as he rejects rumours linking him with Real Madrid.

Saliba has been rated as one of the best centre-backs in the world after having led Arsenal to two straight Premier League title challenges, albeit unsuccessful. The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Real Madrid as the 15-time Champions League winners are suffering from long-term injuries in defence. However, Saliba has now committed himself to staying with the Gunners for a 'long time'.

Speaking to the media recently, Saliba said: "Yeah of course, I feel at home.
"I signed for the club five years ago but it's only my third season and I'm enjoying everything – the players, the staff and the fans."
When asked if he could stay at Arsenal for a 'long time, he replied: "I feel at home so of course, why not?"

Arsenal are looking to challenge for the Premier League title for the third straight year, and while this time Manchester City may not pip them to the title, Liverpool are likely to. Arne Slot's perfect juggernaut are seven points clear of Arsenal, however, Saliba believes his side can make a comeback.
He said: "Everything is possible, the season is very long and we've experienced that in the past two years. We just have to focus on ourselves, we are still only in December so there are still a lot of things that can happen."

The French defender scored in Arsenal's last game against Manchester United as the Gunners cruised to a 2-0 win. He will be in action next when they face Fulham on Sunday, December 8.
