The U.S. is in consideration to host a second edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, even though the first is yet to take place, according to .

It would make for a historic run of tournaments that starts with next year's Club World Cup, and includes the 2026 World Cup, 2028 Olympics, 2029 Club World Cup, and then a possible Women's World Cup in 2031.

Sponsorship deals and potential marketing opportunities for European clubs have been named among reasons for the possible venue.

FIFA announced the groups for the 2025 Club World Cup last Wednesday. The tournament will be hosted in 12 different stadiums across 11 cities, with the semifinals and final scheduled for MetLife Stadium in New York – the same venue as the 2026 World Cup final.
