According to The Sun, a woman, working as the alien mascot Moonbeam for City, says she took a knock to the back of the head from Haaland before their Premier League game at home to Southampton last October. The temporary staff worker, who does not want to be named, said she later threw up, suffered neck pain, and was concussed. The report states she reported this to the police but City's investigation has come to nothing.

The report adds that notes from Salford Royal’s A&E confirmed her symptoms but a CT scan revealed no damage. Greater Manchester Police also told her Haaland 'had not acted with malice', but she accused City of trying to keep this quiet.

She said: “I’m sure Erling would have apologised to me if they had given him the chance. But they just wanted to sweep it under the carpet.”

WHAT MANCHESTER CITY SAID

A City spokesperson told The Sun: “It fully investigated and found that none of the evidence, including video footage, backed up the claim that an injury was sustained in the manner alleged. We’re also aware a complaint was made to Greater Manchester Police and no further action was taken by them either.”
