Escape From Tarkov has confirmed that it plans to eventually feature four endings in its main campaign. However, Battlestate Games studio head Nikita Buyanov believes that not every Escape From Tarkov player will have access to the best ending.
Extraction shooter Escape From Tarkov is making big strides towards its 1.0 release, which it has been working towards since its initial early access launch in 2017. There’s even going to be a Steam release of Escape From Tarkov, although it remains unknown whether this will arrive at the same time as the 1.0 launch on November 15. In the lead up to the full release, Battlestate Games are giving some interesting insight towards what players can expect when the game leaves early access.
Only Around 2% of Players Will be Able to Get Escape From Tarkov's Best Ending
As reported by Insider Gaming, Battlestate Games studio head Nikita Buyanov recently held a Q&A with fans at the Tokyo Game Show 2025 where he discussed Escape From Tarkov‘s future plans for the main campaign. According to Buyanov, “there will be four different endings, and it will depend on your completion and progression and everything like that. For those who want to escape with the best ending, it will be really hard. Actually, not everyone will escape from Tarkov at all. I think it will be something around 2% of all the player base… you can treat it like the achievement of your life to finally escape from Tarkov.”
As it stands, Escape From Tarkov already has some quests, but they aren’t yet connected to a wider narrative as is planned for the game. It’s not clear how much larger the campaign will be, or whether it will be available as part of the game’s 1.0 release. Still, though, for those looking for something a little more structured, it’s good to hear that Escape From Tarkov will offer that eventually.
There’s still a lot that Escape From Tarkov has to solve before its 1.0 release. Battlestate Games has been fighting with Escape From Tarkov cheaters almost nonstop over the last few years, and it would be a shame if those issues were to plague the full launch, especially with the influx of players expected from the Steam release.
