Former Dortmund star Marco Reus has sealed a long-rumored MLS move and is set to sign an 18-month contract to join the Los Angeles Galaxy, according to a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano. Medicals are expected to take place in the coming days, and he will likely be able to play for the club this season.

Reus arrives in the United States as one of the most decorated players in recent Bundesliga history. He was named Bundesliga player of the season three times, included in the team of the season on six occasions, and was the top assist provider in the league in the 2013-14 campaign.
Throughout his 12 seasons at Dortmund, Reus scored 170 goals and added 131 assists. He also captained the German club for five years.
WHAT REUS SAID
Reus announced his intent to leave Dortmund in a statement in May: "I'm incredibly grateful for and proud of this special time at my club Borussia Dortmund. I have spent more than half of my life at this club and enjoyed every day, even though there have of course been difficult moments too."

Reus' MLS move has been rumoured behind the scenes for months. It was first reported in May that Reus intended to play in America, while LA Galaxy's intent to bring in the German was made clear in early June. The Galaxy are currently top of the Western Conference by two points, although second-placed LAFC have two games in hand.
